With CHS, you can select a comprehensive program or a specific service, depending on your needs.  Our individual services, or "un-bundled" approach, is designed to focus on specific issues or areas of concern.  Our professionals are experienced in developing and managing client-specific services and correctional healthcare programs for diverse inmate populations.  We will work with you to develop programs or services to meet your needs.

If you are seeking a company to provide a comprehensive program for your facility, look closely at CHS.  CHS will provide a capitated or fixed cost program based on your specific needs.  We have designed programs that "phase" from your responsibility of operation and cost assumption to that of CHS.  This assures your control of the program while defining and limiting your risk. If you are seeking a comprehensive medical program, CHS can provide the following:

Policies, procedures and protocols:  CHS develops and implements client-specific policies and procedures, manuals, nursing and clinical protocols.  CHS clinical and operational systems conform to applicable governmental regulations, and to NCCHC and ACA standards.  We have been 100% successful in obtaining and maintaining accreditation for our clients.

Claims administration:  CHS' medical claims management services assure the uniform application of negotiated payment terms, the appropriateness of charges and the medical necessity of services.  Our knowledge and understanding of managed care principles and hospital reimbursement systems combined with our experience with third-party payors (such as immigration and State and Federal holds), allows us to effectively control costs.  We have proven experience with State Department of Corrections pre-approval and reimbursement policies for inmate healthcare services.

Centralized support:  CHS maintains effective central programs to support all of its contract sites.  CHS has a centralized and automated Management Information System (MIS) which is designed to collect and analyze various health services utilization data and costs. This allows us to provide monthly reports tailored to our clients' needs in a format they can use to monitor the program status and progress.

On-site program administration:  Each CHS contract location has an on-site Health Services Administrator (HSA) to work closely with our clients to guarantee the success of every program.  The HSA has the authority and responsibility to "make it happen".

Reduced liability:  CHS assumes liability for all its medical programs - both services and personnel.  All of our employees are covered by general liability, medical malpractice and additional coverage as required.  CHS routinely provides indemnification/hold harmless provisions for CHS provided services.

CHS believes that meeting client needs and retaining client relationships depend upon developing and maintaining partnerships that work.  Part of our mission is to manage the details of healthcare delivery in a professional and seamless manner.  We are diligent in providing services that meet specific community medical standards and are cost-effective.  We are an on-site resource that is proactive and always available to you, our client, even when your needs and requests are "outside the contract".  It is this "serving" attitude that is evident throughout the CHS organization from our CEO to our on-site HSA.  There is a difference in managed healthcare companies.
